Chris grew up in the Chicago area where he learned to appreciate great architecture at a young age. He moved to northern Michigan in 1997 after falling in love with the area as a kid while on family vacations. He received a B.S. in architecture at the University of Illinois and spent his junior year at the Ecole d’Architecture de Versailles in France. He has witnessed the evolution of architectural drawing during his career, starting with hand drafting with pencil, then computer-aided drafting, and now 3D modelling. He is an active member of the National Ski Patrol and enjoys woodworking and being out on the water as much as possible. Much to the dismay of his employers, he remains a loyal Cubs and Blackhawks fan.
