Mike holds two degrees from the University of Michigan, a Masters of Architecture in 1990 followed by a MBA in 1993.  He has been practicing architecture since the early 1990’s.  After being involved in several residential and commercial / industrial projects in lower Michigan, he made the move to Petoskey, MI in 1998.  As the Staff Architect and Director of Building Construction for Bay Harbor Company, Mike was responsible for managing the design and construction of the notable Marina District of Bay Harbor, completed in 2000.  Mike later joined North Star Builders to form North Star Group, Inc., a full service design, build, and development company involved in high-end residential and commercial construction.  This partnership came to include Stephen Werner in 2007, forming Shoreline Architecture & Design.  As a partner, Mike is fully involved in management of company operations, including oversight of projects from design to construction.
